Building & Grounds Task Force of UUCRV
NAME OF GROUP Building & Grounds Task Force Purpose: The Building & Grounds Task Force is concerned with the provision and maintenance of the congregation's facilities. It may utilize and coordinate the skills of the congregation and may also be the first line of oversight for outside contractors. The Task Force is involved with issues of accessibility and safety. Responsibilities of the Task Force: Meet as needed to ensure a safe and accessible meeting facility and provide for its cleanliness and order. Responsibilities of the Task Force Members: 1. Participate in called meetings 2. Chairperson will notify members of meeting time, prepare an agenda, monitor progress of Task Force projects or assignments and lead the meeting 3. Identify needed maintenance supplies 4. Willingness to help with facility maintenance 5. Bring ideas for current agenda and /or future needs. Qualifications for the Task Force Members: 1. Commitment to the mission of the UUCRV 2. Desire to work as a team member 3. Awareness of safety and accessibility issues Amount of Time Required: Perhaps 2 or 3 hours per month for meetings or support of agenda issues When Planning is Performed: At called meetings or by phone or email Length of Commitment: Variable Training Provided: On the job training with reliance on prior skill development Responsible To: Other members of the Task Force and Board of Trustees Support Provided: 1. The support and encouragement of other members of the Task Force 2. The personal and professional support of the congregation's minister 3. Budget support by the Trustees and Congregation 4. Response to your request for training or information needed to fulfill your position and make it a rewarding and growth-filled one for you 5. Welcome and respect for your suggestions and opinions regarding the Task Force and total ministry of the congregation |
