Membership Committee of UUCRV
Name of Committee: Membership Committee Responsibilities of Committee: Greet and welcome visitors and other members. Maintain a membership roster. Be alert to the needs of individual members of the congregation and find ways to respond to them. Organize membership ceremonies when needed. Responsibilities of Committee Members: Facilitate membership orientation meetings. Offer hospitality after church at coffee hour. Participate in scheduled committee meetings. Qualifications of Committee Members: Membership in UUCRV. Work as a team member. Willingness to give support to other committee members. Time Required: Average one and one-half hours per month, plus preparation time for coffee hour. Meetings schedule: Quarterly and as required. Length of commitment: One year, renewable. Training Provided: Occasional seminars provided by the Central Midwest District. Reading materials. Responsible to: Other members of the committee. Support provided: The support and encouragement of other members of the committee. The personal and professional support of the congregation's minister. A response to your request for training and/or information that you believe is needed to fulfill your position and make it a rewarding and growth-filled one for you.
