Green Sanctuary
MISSION The Green Sanctuary program is a Seventh Principle Project.
It is aimed at maximizing the impact of a congregation on environmental challenges
and provides the opportunity and encouragement for members to commit to the five
goals of the Green Sanctuary Program.
GOALS
a. To build awareness of societal environmental issues among UU's
b. To generate commitment for personal lifestyle changes
c. To motivate UU's to community action on environmental issues
d. To build a connection between spiritual practice and environmental consciousness
e. To build awareness of and rectify environmental injustices
The Green Sanctuary Committee is in the process of developing
an action plan leading toward accreditation by UUA. For more information about
