Visiting and Worship
Come as You Are
Feel free to come dressed as you are most comfortable. You will find a warm and
friendly welcome among us. We are a non-creedal church and welcome people of all
faith traditions who want to grow in spirit, believe in the worth and dignity of
all life and seek answers to life's questions from many sources.
What to Expect
If you are looking for a church to call home or are just curious about Unitarian
Universalism, we invite you to visit our church and meet the people that make it
very special. From September to June we gather every Sunday at 10:30 AM for our
church services that
embrace a sense of community within our diversity. Summer schedule is often
different - see the June Newsletter. Each service includes singing of hymns
(we love to sing), readings, sharing of joys and concerns, meditation or prayer,
and a sermon or a discussion of a current topic. As a part of every service, those
who wish light candles to honor our joys and concerns, acknowledging our heartfelt
connection with one another. Child care for children is available during
the service. After the service we gather for refreshments and conversation.
Where We Are Our minister, guest ministers/speakers, and the
worship committee conduct our gatherings at our NEW LOCATION in Rockton about one
half mile east of Macktown Forest Preserve/Golf Course:
Old Stephen Mack School House 329 School Street at IL Route 75
Rockton, IL
Our church is accessible for the handicapped but does not have handicapped
facilities in the restrooms.
Parking is available in the lot by the north door and along School Street.
Get to Know Us
One of the best ways to get to know us is to attend one of our worship services.
Once you sign our guest book, you will receive our monthly newsletter that includes
details of each service topic and presenter. In order to stay connected and
informed, our newsletter is distributed to all members and friends of the church.
